Moving on.

Thanks for those who were praying, last night’s meeting went well, and there was almost no mention of the things I thought we’d come up against. It’s becoming was clear that people are voting with their feet: some people make the choice to stay away on the modern services, but many new younger people and families attend. We are reaching people we haven’t reached before and the service is growing. Although a lot of the ‘core’ older people choose to come, and are quite happy with the changes, it has been suggested that the low average age is a problem and that we should try to get older people to come. Surely that's their choice...

One exciting part is that apart from the good feedback from the drama we had on Sunday, we have 8 weeks to prepare for each service, and we’ve been given a lot of freedom to experiment in our outreach/evangelistic service in the evening during the ‘Kirbe’ town festival on October the 15^th. Our young people have taken the challenge of making a radically different form of service. Watch this space for more information.
