The journey went pretty well. Lucas was awake for most of the flight and he flirted with everyone on the plane. Tobi made several grand tours around the cabin as well. There were no really grotty movies, thanks for your prayer.
After we arrived in Japan we managed to use a ferry, bus, and train to get to Ise. The sea was a bit rough so the catamaran was thrown about somewhat: Tobi and Lucas both threw up, but once we were on land we were all fine again and walked from the railway station to Michi’s parent’s house. It’s very satisfying to finish a 9000km journey on foot, even if it was only 500m.
Waiting for the plane... mid Morning in Helsinki.
The boys spent the evening being spoilt and getting lavish amounts of hugs from Grandma and Grandpa, dozed and wriggled until about 1am when we gave them all a cuddle and read bible stories for a while before packing them back, protesting, into bed.It looks calm here, but wait until you get out of the harbour... The ferry from the airport
Today is rest and recovery day. We’ve had the obligatory (but nice) call on the staff at the medical centre and we are trying to stay awake until tonight.
Time for a caffeine fix…
