We are back- We did all get back on time, and the train journey was reasonably stress free (except in Brussels Midi which is a black hole for information, and it appears, trains) and we will probably do the same again, finances permitting. Maybe next time we can catch a sleeper train…
We've been in Germany for well over a week now, but this great avalanche called 'work has hit us in that time, and we are still trying to catch up. Frenzied writing has so far cranked out lots of emails, and a script which we start rehearsing tomorrow. The theme for this one is 'trust', and we've created 'The Cheapest show on earth': a loud, circus-arts based bit of mayhem starring the dashing duo of Errol and Flynn, diabolos, waterbombs and any other dangerous stuff that may yet occur to the team.
This is art.
The pace will slow down a bit after this but I still need to get the August piece ready, and then October is looming and Xpresso is running the service then, which probably means a lot more theatre input, so we need to get moving on that as well. We've had an outbreak of planning in the 'Morgen(b)rot' team so we now know the dates and themes of all the 'modern' services until December so hopefully I can plan things out a bit better and prepare sooner generally, which will take the heat off me a bit. I may even get myself organised.
