“Peter’s Return”

We know very little about what happened to the disciples between the arrest of Jesus, and Easter Sunday. John took Mary home. Peter followed Jesus to the house of Ciaphas, and there abandoned him, as Jesus said he would, and then left, weeping. Between this time and when Mary went to the tomb, the bible is silent.
“Peters Return” speculates on what may have happened between these two events. While James and John are arguing about what to do next and Mary Magdalene is trying to persuade them to help her look after Jesus’ body, Peter turns up. The story of the courtyard unfolds and with it Peters guilt and despair, and his question: is he beyond hope?
This is a much more intense drama than the team have attempted so far: In “Peter’s Return” the energy is high and stays high for almost the whole drama, which we see as a continuation of the process we began with the Christmas drama, “Status Symbols” It's a challenge for the team, but they are taking it and producing some excellent material which has great potential. Expect to see more of this style this year
