But hang on, what’s this “Organic honeys of the world” label on the top? This is eucalyptus honey from Uruguay, of all places. So that means the company has moved this jar, or at least the contents, about 6880 miles or 11071 km to put it on the shelves in the shop next door.
Of course by making the jars hexagonal the company can argue that they are trying reduce carbon because they can get more in a case and thus need less trucks to carry them about. So that’s alright then…
Oh, and by the way, Germany is the world’s largest producer of honey…
