Unfortunately the translation for the drama has not arrived in time for me to have rerhearsals tonight. Rather than make the person doing the monologue with me rearrange their time to make another appointment I've cancelled the drama on Sunday.
The translation wasn't the whole problem: the theme should have been decided two months ago, but we were all focused on Christmas, and it was after new year that we met to look at it. Unusually the preacher for the service is from another church, and we couldn't contact them...
That's a bit of a depressing start to the year, and a bit of a suprise as the piece so obviously needed to be written, but perhaps this isn't the right time, or place. We shall see.
