Xpresso

Last night, we finally made the “Vision” presentation and agreed to change the name of the team from “Kemnat Lutheran Church Theatre Team” to the much simpler “Xpresso”

Within this we’re creating two areas: “Xpresso” and “Xpresso to go”.

“Xpresso” is the general team name, and also the name we will use whenever we do anything here in Kemnat: The aim is to make a safe place for people to experiment and try out new ideas and media, and to create material for the services and children’s club here in this church. New members can come and see if they want to join in and be a part of the team, and where they want to specialise. We can have a lot of flexibility for people to come and join as a “One off” without a long-term commitment.

“Xpresso To Go” is the name we will use to distinguish our “Touring team”. We hope to start going to local churches during the year. This team will be made of different “Xpresso” members who would commit to a set of presentations of the same material, possibly learning a couple of pieces each so we have some flexibility and we can respond to what churches need us to do. We’re hoping to take these pieces to different churches. We’re hoping that the “Xpresso To Go” will eventually be recognised as an asset for local churches and will be able to contribute to youth services, outreaches and events.
